What they do:
They lerk at the bottom of whatever body of water they're in, hunting for anything they can eat. When they "sing" to attract prey, humans are usually the most common to be caught by it due to humans being relatively low on the interdimensional intelligence scale, or in their individual realities even. Spending a large chunk of their 10,000 year lifespan hunting, they have adapted to use the water's currents to avoid using too much energy.
Some Facts:
They have 3 eyes on their head, all of the other holes are mouths
They don't come to the surface of the water unless it's raining
Their fins catch algae and other plant matter, making them appear even bigger
Their eyes can look in different directions of each other, making it easier to find prey
They're carnivores
